Lemongrass Oil | 1/3 fl. oz.
Lemongrass oil can be used to lure swarms as the scent mimics a pheromone that scout bees release when looking for a new home. Sprinkle a drop or two just inside the entrance of a nuc or hive to encourage a swarm to move in.
It is also believed to have antifungal and antiviral properties, making it a beneficial additive to bee feed in order to boost hive health and support the fight against pests and diseases. These properties may also help keep sugar syrup from going bad.
Use caution when using Lemongrass oil, especially in weaker beehives, as it can also attract robber honeybees.
1/3 fluid ounce (9.86 ml)
Use sparingly. Essential oils are potent.
