Instructions:

Prepare your candle moulds/containers by placing wicks in the center of each. Cut the wick allowing for a few inches of extra length.

For jars or tins: Place your wick through the wick tab holder. Then, using a small amount of the melted beeswax on the bottom of the wick tab holder to secure it to the jar or tin.

For silicone moulds: Thread the wick through the hole at the bottom of the mould (this is actually the top of your candle). Be sure to leave an inch of excess wicking on either end.

Finally, secure the wick in place by wrapping it around a dowel, placed across the top of the mould or container, and tie into place. Be sure the wick is taught and centered before pouring the beeswax.

Add desired amount of beeswax to the wax melting pot. Using a double broiler method, place the wax melting pot into a pot of water (enough to cover 1/3 of the melting pot.) Keep on medium high heat until it starts to melt. Stir with an old wooden or silicone spatula. Once wax begins to melt, turn heat to low or medium low to melt completely. Careful not to burn the wax. Do not leave the wax unattended.

Once the beeswax is fully melted, carefully take your wax melting pot out of the pot of water. Ensure everything is on a level surface and pour the wax into your moulds/containers. The wax will shrink slightly as it sets. Let the candle cool completely.

For silicone moulds: Once the wax has completely cooled, carefully remove your candle from the mould by pushing from the bottom. Be sure the wick comes out with your candle. If the wax is not completely cool, the wick may be pulled out of the candle. Trim the wick flat on the bottom and gently even out the bottom of the candle by heating it on a pan (use aluminum foil if it’s not a dedicated wax pan). Don’t leave it on heat for too long. Place on a hard flat surface to cool.

Trim the top of your wick. Light and enjoy!
